Jimmy L. Waldrop, MD, FACS is Board Certified by the American Board of Plastic Surgery and The American Board of Surgery. Dr. Waldrop is a graduate of the Medical College of Georgia School of Medicine where he was inducted into the prestigious Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Medical Society. Following medical school, he completed General Surgery residency and a Surgical Critical Care/Trauma fellowship at The University of Tennessee College of Medicine Chattanooga. He subsequently completed a comprehensive Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery Residency also at The University of Tennessee College of Medicine Chattanooga. After completion of surgical training, he joined the Plastic Surgery Group. He is Director of Research and Assistant Professor in the Department of Plastic Surgery at The University of Tennessee College of Medicine Chattanooga and is actively involved in the training of plastic surgery residents.
Dr. Waldrop’s practice includes cosmetic surgery of the breast, abdomen, and face. Specifically, breast augmentation, lift, and reduction, tummy tuck, liposuction, face lift, eyelid surgery, and rhinoplasty. In addition to cosmetic surgery, he also performs complex reconstructive surgery and microsurgery. This includes reconstruction of the face, head/neck, breast, trunk, abdomen, or extremities after cancer surgery and trauma. He also has special interest in treatment of facial and mandible fractures and skin cancer. He is fully trained in all aspects of plastic and reconstructive surgery.
Dr. Waldrop resides on Signal Mountain with his wife and daughter. He enjoys outdoor activities such as hiking, mountain biking, wake boarding, rock climbing, and hunting.
